Night Photography: highlights

The word photography means to draw or write with light. Drawing with light is a passion for us, especially when we get to figure out low light scenarios! It's a thrill for sure and something we'd love to make happen at your wedding!

Sara + Kevin Engagement (Columbus, Ohio)

Even though the temps hovered around 10 degrees, the sun came out and this joy filled duo rocked their engagement photos! My baby sister will marry this kind, fun, and genuine man next fall! We could not be happier for them and their future. All the emotions and heart eyes over here. 

Ryan + Becca: Engagement Session

They pulled up to our shoot with not one, but two adorable Australian Shepherds and I was immediately hooked. We have two aussies at home too. To me, dogs + engagement photos= perfection! Plus, one of their aussies is named Ollie! Becca + Ryan have been together for over 6 years. They both love Colorado and hope to own a farm and horses one day, my kind of people! This seriously great couple gets married next April and Bertarelli Photography will be there. 

Wednesday Wedding #3: Jarrod + Krista

Meet the Glodts! Last spring Jarrod + Krista married in Estes Park at stunning Della Terra Mountain Chateau. Jarrod's reaction as Krista walked towards him and as he hugged their daughter gets me every time! I cherish this couple and luckily I get to still photograph them as their sweet family grows. 

Wednesday Wedding #2: Kollin + Sadie

Happily remembering this amazing wedding and couple. Kollin + Sadie's love inspires me, their wedding was happened in Erie, Colorado on July 23, 2016. I've known both Sadie + Kollin for years and felt so special to be their wedding photographer. Thank you again, Skattums! They're just too sweet and adorable... enjoy some moments from their day!

Wednesday Wedding #1: Stephen + Jaclyn

The 2017 wedding season is here and I have decided to share highlights from 2016 weddings every Wednesday. First up, Stephen + Jaclyn! This super sweet couple got married at Lionsgate Event Center on July 22, 2016. As a fire fighter (Stephen) and nurse (Jaclyn) the White's wedding focused on celebrating their love with their amazing family and friends. Plus, I am photographing Jaclyn's sisters' wedding (Julie) this August in Vail! I cannot wait to spend more time with these beautiful humans this summer!  

Denver: Ryan + Haley engagement session

Oh, these two. I met Haley years ago as her photography teacher. Now she's engaged to the seriously studly and wonderful, Ryan! Haley + Ryan are two incredible sweet individuals and together, they are just all kinds of special. I have been itching to share their engagement session ever since it happened last Friday night. We all nearly froze grabbing these moments at Wash Park in Denver. We had such a great evening and they even bought me dinner (cue the confetti!) and now I look forward to their September 2017 Lionsgate Event Center Wedding! 

Estes Park, CO: Mike + Lydia Wedding

What a marvelous summer wedding for one of my favorite former students, Lydia and her wonderful guy, Mike! Sweeping mountain views set the perfect backdrop for their day at Black Canyon Inn in Estes Park. Lydia was such a stunning bride and I got emotional while she read her heartfelt vows! A truly special wedding filled with love, laughter, and dancing!

Keystone, CO: Brandon + Karisa Wedding

August 1, 2015:   Every time we book mountain weddings, I jump for joy and do my little happy dance. While I love shooting weddings all over, I was especially excited to shoot Brandon + Karisa's day on top of a mountain in Keystone. We even rode two gondola rides to their ceremony spot! #fun Even better.... K+B are amazing people and their whole wedding focused around celebrating their love, favorite band (WSP), incredible friends and family. 

Kollin + Sadie Engagement Session

I've known this dynamic duo for years and when I first found out Kollin proposed to Sadie I was thrilled for them! A few Saturdays back I had the honor of photographing their engagement photos high up in the mountains above always stunning Boulder Colorado. Theses photos transpired close to the spot I got married over 6 years ago, making this experience more special. I hope you enjoy some of my favorite moments showcasing young love with solid roots.  

Trevor + Elisabeth - October 18, 2015

Athletic, fun loving, and adventurous are three words that pop into my head to describe Trevor and Elisabeth. After dating since high school, he asked her to marry him in the beautiful mountains above Boulder. I met this dynamic duo as I taught them photography around the time they started dating. Over the years, I was continually impressed by their shared love for God, family, friends, sports, and of course each other! It was my honor to capture these moments with a wonderful 2nd shooter (Sara) from their country chic wedding. It was extra amazing to be a wedding photographer on October 18, 2015. Zach + Chelsea Engagement

They met and fell in love in High School. They've dated for years and now they're getting hitched! I am so excited to photograph their wedding next fall. This gorgeous and fun couple woke up early for me and we hit several great spots around the front range. Waking up early paid off big time and I love the moments we captured together.

Jordan + Jenny- June 27, 2015

I love shooting weddings at Lionsgate Event Center in Lafayette, Colorado. It's one of my favorite venues! When I get to shoot a fantastic couple at an equally fantastic location, special moments happen. Jenny and Jordan are full of life and they compliment each other beautifully, along with three awesome kids their day was heart felt, emotional, and genuine. Plus, check-out all the cool details: colorful converse, custom hangers made by Maddison, Mickey Mouse gear, and sentimental bouquet accents to honor those who have passed away. I also included some of my favorite shots from their ceremony!
